How TRIA works:
It's pretty simple, really...
The TRIA System targets the dark pigment in the hair. The laser and the dark pigment together generate heat that quickly disables the hair follicle, causing the hair to gradually fall out and stop growing back.
How fast, you ask?
Since hair grows in cycles, not every hair can be treated at the same time. Keeping this in mind, you will need one TRIA laser treatment every other week for the first 3 months then one treatment per month for 3-5 months afterwards to achieve the best hair-free results possible.
This treatment cycle is based on the average amount of time it takes for the majority of the hair follicles to move through their varying growth cycles and be treated. In as little as eight easy treatments you will be hair-free — for good!
TRIA is conveniently cordless for increased mobility and easily reaches various parts of your face and body, with 5 comfort settings. Before using TRIA, simply remove all cosmetics, lubricants and creams from your skin, and shave the area(s) where you intend to use TRIA. (Shaving reduces discomfort during laser hair removal sessions because there is no hair above the skin to absorb the laser light.) TRIA is rechargeable and does not require a cord while in use. How to use Tria:
For best results, TRIA should be used every two to four weeks until desired results are achieved. After the first laser hair removal session, it takes approximately two weeks to begin seeing visible results. (Although it may appear that the hair is still growing, the disabled follicles are actually "ejecting" the hairs from beneath the skin.) Hairs that were not in the "active growth phase" during the previous session will continue to grow and will need to be re-treated.
The TRIA laser is designed to react with the dark pigment of the hair. As a result, dark brown and black skin may absorb too much of the lasers energy, which can cause skin damage, at this time the TRIA system is not right for you.
